Luigi

Luigi, born in San Remo, Italia, returned to his homeland in 1994. Although away from Italy for many years he settled into the rhythmic life of medieval Montalcino and set about building a new life, leaving behind a frenetic business world – and bringing Isabella to live in Tuscany.

Montalcino is the home of Brunello and Luigi’s continuing exposure to vines and wine production enhanced his already keen interest in the viticulture of Italy. Luigi’s laid back style gives him the ability to pass on his knowledge about the wines of Italy in an informative and fun way. His cellar is stacked with wines from all over Italy about which he is adept at explaining not only the sensorial aspects of colour, aroma and taste, but also identification of the structure and complexity of the wine, as well as production techniques and grape varieties.

Luigi is the administrator. He sorts out day to day events, confirming appointments in advance and looks after the smooth running of your holiday. He is usually last to bed;  frequently the last one in the piazza, sharing a glass of wine or a grappa with guests.

Holiday Apartments is Luigi’s speciality. He manages all enquiries for holiday apartments in the village or farmhouses in the vineyards surrounding Montalcino. Apartments rent from Saturday to Saturday.

If you seek the place for the perfect holiday for one, two, three weeks or a month, Montalcino is ideal. You’ll agree after reading Isabella’s books and browsing the link to Montalcino.
