Isabella
At
the age of 19 Isabella was shot at in Spain, pursued from Italy by the
carabinieri and slept with a herd of mountain goats in Yugoslavia. By the
time she was 26 her husband died in a car accident, leaving Isabella with
a six month old baby. Struggling against the odds of succeeding as an
interior designer, a career she developed, Isabella became a tough
business woman. Her daughter went to live in the Australian desert, and
Isabella went to live in a hill top village in Tuscany, Italy.

is the author of two best-selling books, Vanilla Beans & Brodo, and
Bel Vino, both set in Italy. She writes regularly for interior design
magazines and is a travel writer for international newspapers and
magazines. She regularly hosts guests studying art, history and culture of
Italy, runs an interior design business in the village of Montalcino, and
is keenly involved in fundraising for her local church.
